1. Executive Summary
The SafeFeed extension does not collect, externally store, or share any of your data with any third party. All data remains on your device only.
2. What is stored?
The extension stores data locally on your device only using browser.storage.local:
- Whitelisted accounts you add manually (usernames and links)
- ON/OFF operational settings
- Blocked posts counter in the current session (resets when browser closes)
3. What is absolutely NEVER done?
- ❌ We do not collect any personal data
- ❌ We do not send any data to external servers
- ❌ We do not use any tracking or analytics services
- ❌ We do not read the content of the pages you visit
- ❌ We do not require access permissions to your email or account
4. Required Permissions and Reasons
- storage — to save your whitelist locally on your device
- activeTab — to apply filtering on the current page only when needed
- host_permissions (facebook/youtube) — to inject the filtering code into these pages only
5. Your Rights
You can at any time:
- Delete your entire whitelist from the extension interface
- Uninstall the extension — all local data will be deleted automatically
